How the collections work
Each collection is a motif applied across dessert plates, dinner plates, napkins in two sizes, cups and a table cover. Not every collection makes every item, and which ones are complete changes with stock — this is the single most common reason a party table ends up half-matched.
The reliable approach is to buy the two items the theme is really carried by — the dessert plates and the beverage napkins — from the collection, and everything else in a plain shade pulled from the pattern.
What children actually use
Cake is served on the small plate, so that is the pack to buy first. Cups get put down and abandoned within minutes, which is why the two-per-guest rule exists and why plain cups are the sensible economy. Dinner plates are only needed if there is a real meal rather than snacks.
How much to buy
For fifteen children: one pack of dessert plates, one pack of beverage napkins, two packs of cups, one table cover. Add a second pack of napkins if the parents are staying.
